over the years jim coles has turned his hand to a fair few different styles and made them his own. these days, most know his om unit alias as a significant force in fresh developments within d&b (recently found larking about with alix perez, binga and more in the richie brains project on exit records), but it s not always been that way.

originally released as a soundtrack in 1974, and long out of print, cinewaxs reissue is remastered from the original tapes and is presented as an exact reproduction of the original album artwork featuring jim pearsalls classic film art. sometimes, it doesnt take very long to create something brilliant. when producer robert evans rejected phillip lambro’s original score for chinatown, jerry goldsmith was hired to create another, from scratch, in just 10 days.

a pivotal moment in 20th century politics, history and culture the november 22nd 1963 assassination of president john f. kennedy (in dallas, texas) produced a mountainous range of forgotten, discarded and ghostly vinyl artifacts. country songs, private-press lamentations, mournful poetry and violent political diatribes were rushed onto rough-hewn 45s and marginal lps that vied to be heard above the noise and confusion.

we re extremely pleased here at invisble inc hq to be releasing this amazing new album by veteran multi-instrumentalist and ethno-musicologist jon keliehor. originally from seattle and musically active since the 1960s jon started out playing drums and percussion in bands like the daily flash and bodine all the while becoming known as a venerable session and touring musician in his own right. not many people can claim to have played alongside jim morrison and james brown....but jon certainly has.
